Kick off your Philly weekend in the historic Old City. Walk the cobblestone streets and visit landmarks like Independence Hall also known as “America’s birthplace.”, a pivotal site in the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and the Liberty Bell, which is much smaller than you think it's going to be. To visit Independence Hall, you’ll need to sign up for a guided tour. They’re free if you sign up in the visitor’s center, or you can reserve online in advance for a $1 fee. Walk over to Penn's landing. Enjoy a stroll along the tree-lined promenade or go out for some fun on the river. During the summer months, Penn’s Landing frequently show movies and have concerts. When you're done sightseeing, you can walk over to Glory Beer Bar and Kitchen for our welcome event!
If you’re an art lover, you can't visit Philly without checking out the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It has a massive art collection and is home to the famous Rocky steps if you're trying to burn off some of the excess calories from our indulgent food scene.
Philly is crazy about sports. Philadelphia is home to the Eagles (NFL), 76ers (NBA), Flyers (NHL), and Phillies (MLB), so there’s always a game going on. Check the calendar to see if one of the home teams is playing during your weekend in Philadelphia! Seeing a major sporting event in this city is definitely an experience.

You can catch a 90 minute Amtrak train to NYC from the Philadelphia, PA - William H. Gray III 30th Street Station. I recommend booking tickets in advance, because they only get more expensive. There is an unlimited number of things to see and do in NYC, so instead of doing a big writeup I've linked a travel's writer's page here.
Fun fact, DC is where we first met and the first city we ever lived in together. You can catch a 2 hour Amtrak train to DC from the Philadelphia, PA - William H. Gray III 30th Street Station.
