We both attended Columbia High School and I always called him my “little brother”. I used to annoy him and take his food at lunch time. Sounds like a bully lol. When I graduated we lost contact until one day he walked into Burger King (where I was working at the time). We both had a mutual friend and didn’t even know it. We recognized each other instantly. Fate and love took it from there.
We were at the cabins in Elijah, Ga (where we also bought king) celebrating my birthday with close friends and family. Some people were missing. We were playing cards late in the morning just having a good time until Andrew decides to pull out his phone and starts to text. (It was all a set up). Of course knowing me I said something and wanted to go upstairs to talk. He follows me but quickly dismisses me and goes back downstairs. At that moment I am hot and wanted to go home. My sister, Chaundra, comes upstairs and tells me to come back down because we were there to celebrate me. As soon as I come back down, my best friend Kenshayla, her then fiancé Gary, and brother-in-law Frank had their phones out. I quickly looked to my left and I see Andrew on one knee with this gorgeous ring out and he says “what you goin do?” It was amazing and we rejoiced and laughed and I cried. Drew really knows me and pays attention. He got me good. I’ll always remember that special special moment.
