Marissa and Brandon’s relationship progressed very quickly. This was because they felt as if they had known each other for years. They had been looking for each other for years. They complete each other in every way. They were the answer to each other’s prayers. They knew that when they met, they would be spending forever together and that their love story was meant to be. It all begins when the happy couple met at a social gathering in Tallahassee on January 5, 2018. They were both out with friends for two separate occasions. Brandon first noticed Marissa amongst the crowd. He instantly knew he wanted to get to know her. He did not hesitate and asked Marissa to dance with him. She agreed and that was it, their love story began. They did not officially become a couple until January 11, 2018, but January 5th is what they consider their anniversary because it was truly love at first sight!
Their first kiss was the night they met. After that Brandon told Marissa he would like to take her on an official, real date. She could not turn that offer down! She could tell that Brandon was a kindhearted gentleman and wanted to spend all the time with him that she could. He even let her borrow his treasured leather jacket! They went to dinner at The Edison in Tallahassee. That night they got to know each other and found many commonalities between each other. They also learned that their goals for life are similar and realized that they wanted to help each other reach those goals, together. For the week following their first date, Brandon asked Marissa to be his girlfriend many times. Marissa knew that she wanted to be with Brandon, but chose to wait to give him an answer. They spent nearly every day together within that time and Marissa quickly realized that the man of her dreams was right in front of her. She said her first “Yes” on January 11, 2018.
Almost two years after they first met, they decided to celebrate their second anniversary in the beautiful city of Saint Augustine, Florida. They were accompanied by Brandon’s parents and traveled there on January 3, 2020. They had a wonderful day full of adventures and exploring their favorite city. On this same day, Brandon popped the big question. He took Marissa to the Old City Gates and proposed in front of a crowd of people, including his parents. Marissa, with tears in her eyes, while Brandon was on one knee, said her second “Yes”. It was beautiful and perfect. They spent the rest of their time in Saint Augustine as a happily engaged couple, excited to start wedding planning. And now, here we are! The wedding of Marissa & Brandon will be ringing in the 2021 New Year! They will be celebrating their love with friends and family on the very first day of the year, setting 2021 up to be the greatest yet! They will also celebrate their three year anniversary just a few days after saying “I do”.
