MSN is the most convenient airport nearby with it being a 15-minute drive to downtown Madison. Also, it's quick to go through TSA since it's a small airport (typically ~15 minutes from parking the car to walking to the gate)

MKE has Southwest! The drive from the airport to downtown Madison is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.
