Mikaela and I shared some of our finest moments in college together, but our friendship truly blossomed when we graduated and realized we lived near eachother. Mikaela has a love of horses and competed in three-day eventing alongside me while in college. Mikaela was married last year, to her wonderful husband AJ Howells.

John and I met the night before MEPS. We definitely did not hit it off and it took quite a bit of time together for us to become friends. After being in the same unit, and years of putting up with me, John and I became close friends and shared some great memories traveling the world and drinking together. Even though we're no longer enlisted, John remains my best friend and I am the godfather to his beautiful kids.
