Flight

Hobby Airport (HOU)

Several airlines fly into Hobby, but Southwest is the main airline and it mostly serves domestic flights. Hobby is closer to the Jaggi household and the Royal Sonesta.

Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

IAH serves most airlines (except Southwest), but the main airline it serves is United. IAH also has the most options for international flights. It is closer to the Bennett household.

Royal Sonesta Houston

This is where the Hindu ceremony and reception will be held, and will serve as our wedding headquarters throughout the weekend. If you book here in our wedding block the rate will be $119 a night from April 22-25. The rooms are not guaranteed though so please book early if you know you want to stay here to ensure there are rooms available. There is onsite parking - self parking is $12/day and valet is $16/day. The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa

As an alternative to the Royal Sonesta, we also have a wedding block at the Houstonian, where the Western Ceremony is being held on Friday morning. All transportation will be from the Royal Sonesta, so if you choose to stay here you will need to arrange your own transportation to and from the Sangeet and the Hindu ceremony and reception. The block room rate is $199 for a king room and $219 for a double queen. The block runs from Thursday April 22nd - Sunday April 25th. Make sure to book before March 22nd to guarantee the block rate. House Or Rental

AirBNB/VRBO

AirBNB and VRBO are other options if you do not want to stay at the Royal Sonesta. We recommend looking for places to stay in the Galleria Area so that you are close to the Royal Sonesta and able to take advantage of the free transportation to and from events at the Royal Sonesta. If you would like to stay close to the Jaggi household we recommend looking in the West University/Rice University/Medical Center area. If you would like to stay close the Bennett household, we recommend looking for places in the Heights!

Rental Car

Uber/Lyft

If you are traveling to Houston for the wedding, Uber and Lyft (along with other rideshare companies) are great options for getting around the city. They are readily available and easy to use. If you are staying at the Royal Sonesta you will be in the Galleria area where there are tons of shopping and restaurants within a walk or short uber distance.

Rental Car

Rental Car

Houston is not a very walking-friendly city, so if you want to explore Houston while visiting, renting a car is a great option. Uber/Lyft are readily available, but if you plan to see a lot of the city while visiting a rental car could be cheaper. Parking at the hotel is $16/day for valet and $12/day for self parking. Rental cars are available at both airports.

Shuttle Information

We will be providing a free shuttle at the Royal Sonesta to transport people to and from the Sangeet Friday night. The western ceremony, held at the Houstonian, is a 10 minute drive from the Royal Sonesta.
