One quick swipe right, and the rest was history. Both of us took the plunge, downloaded the app, and decided it was time to find “the one”. Chandler made the first move, by asking Sara out for a quick bite to eat on a Friday night after work. Sara was quickly won over by Chandler’s amusement for the Amish culture considering, he is from California. One date night, turned into two, then three, and we haven’t spent a day apart since. Chandler made the first move in saying, “I love you”, and Sara quickly followed after a day trip to New Buffalo, MI a couple of short weeks later. As time progressed, we found ourselves beginning to look at homes in Bristol, Indiana to bring Chandler closer to the area (he is currently living in Valparaiso, IN). In that moment, we knew we wanted to spend our forever together. But, we decided a home wasn’t the right move yet. Fast forward to New Years, Chandler flew Sara to California to meet his family. Everyone was excited to see how we did traveling together considering we had only been dating for 2 and a half months - talk about falling quickly. California was a confirmation that we were made for each other. We traveled beachside, countryside and you better believe he took me to Disneyland, ha! On the way home Sara was surprised to see Chandler pulling up Zillow using the spotty airplane WiFi. A week later, we found ourselves tour a home in Sara’s childhood neighborhood. In fact, Sara’s Pappaw lives 5 doors down. Chandler didn’t know it, but he was healing a part of Sara that had been emotionally drained with the lost hope of finding Mr. Right - her little girl heart was exploding with joy! All it took was one showing with our realtor, and we knew that this was going to be our newlywed-starter-home. Exactly one month later, on February 14 (yes, Valentine’s Day!), we closed on our home in Bristol, IN. Praise Jesus! This meant a ring had to be right around the corner. Sara had no idea that after the closing, they would be enjoying their last dinner as boyfriend and girlfriend because Sara’s mom and sister were at their house setting up for a dreamy proposal. Later that night, we went back to the house to pop some champagne and celebrate what Sara thought was the excitement of the new house, but Chandler had other plans. As the door unlocked, the foyer was lined with candles and rose petals leading to the living room where Chandler popped down on one knee and began with “Sara Ann Radabaugh…”. Obviously, it was a short absolute “YES!” When you know you know! The house was in place, and the ring was on the finger, and the only thing that felt right next was walking down the aisle to forever. We are a busy family of 5… well dad, mom and three crazy fur babies - Daisy Lu, Marigold and Max. Don’t ask how we do it, because most days we are losing it in a one bedroom apartment. We are eager to finish the home renovations, so max can have a big yard to play in. The girls (Lulu and Marigold) cannot wait for their brother to get lost haha! We are over the moon that we have found each other! Chandler keeps Sara focused and organized, as Sara can be a bit of a busy tornado to say the least. Sara has taught Chandler a few tricks on practicing patience, and he is doing quite well using it on the pup (some days) hahah. The two of us can be found spending time with friends and family when we aren’t busy planning the wedding or renovating the house. Everyone has been such a blessing to us during this time! After the wedding, we will be having a weekend getaway to be Mr. And Mrs. Borda on the lake coast in Michigan. The honeymoon fun will be eagerly anticipated for August of 2025. In between then, we will be seen spending lots of time enjoying ourselves in our new home together. We are so happy that we took the plunge, and so grateful that we were both molded for this moment together. We cannot wait to celebrate our love!
