The Newport, Rhode Island Cliff Walk is a scenic 3.5-mile public walkway that runs along the Atlantic Ocean, offering a rare mix of dramatic coastal views on one side and iconic Gilded Age mansions on the other. The path winds past crashing waves, rocky cliffs, and historic estates like The Breakers and Marble House, making it one of Newport’s most beloved attractions. While parts of the walk are paved and easy, especially at the northern end, other sections are more rugged and uneven, giving it a slightly adventurous feel. Free and open daily, the Cliff Walk is a quintessential Newport experience that blends natural beauty, history, and seaside charm.
