Our Story

We met during our freshman year at Kennesaw State University, two young 18-year-olds. Like most college freshmen, we were still figuring out who we were, but from the beginning, we knew we wanted to figure it out together. Our friendship lasted 5 months before we started dating in February 2021. For the first few years, we spent almost every day side by side, studying, watching way too many episodes of Money Heist and One Piece, hunting through thrift stores, and finding any excuse to get Mexican food, always with queso. What started as young love gradually became something deeper: a relationship that grew as we did. Over the last 5 years, we've experienced nearly every stage of adulthood together so far. We made it through undergrad at KSU side by side and spent two years navigating long distance while pursuing our master's degrees. That season wasn't always easy, but it reinforced something we had already learned: no matter the circumstances, we can count on each other for love and support. On paper, we're very different. Chandler is calm, thoughtful, and steady. Lydia is energetic, outgoing, and impulsive. But after half a decade together, the lines have started to blur. We've picked up each other's habits, interests, perspectives, and ways of moving through the world. In many ways, we've grown into each other while still remaining ourselves. It has been one of the greatest privileges of our relationship to watch the person you love shape you for the better, and to know you've done the same for them. We've loved each other through many versions of ourselves already, and we're looking forward to all the versions still to come.
