The Wedding Website of Chandler Smith and Josh Godinez

Flight

Note

We recommend flying into either Querétaro (QRO) or León (BJX), both of which are about an hour from San Miguel by car. Each airport offers direct flights from DFW and other major Texas airports. If you're traveling from out of state, you'll likely connect through DFW or Mexico City. For those needing more flexible flight options, flying into Mexico City (MEX) and arranging a private driver is also an option — just note that the drive to San Miguel is approximately four hours, depending on traffic.

Travel Note

House Rental

We highly recommend booking a house if you're traveling in a group of three or more — it's the most cost-effective and enjoyable way to experience San Miguel together, and there are plenty of sizes to choose from. Keep in mind that the welcome event is near the Jardín and Parroquia, so booking a house in that area will put you within walking distance. The wedding ceremony, however, is about 10 minutes outside of town, so everyone will need to arrange a car or Uber for that day.

Travel Note

Getting around

The best way to get around San Miguel de Allende is on foot – the center is compact enough to be walkable, and some of the most exciting discoveries can be found along its winding walkways. While a car won't be convenient for navigating San Miguel, it will be useful if you choose to take day trips. There are also several local bus routes in the city, and you can access all corners of San Miguel by taxi or Uber. Our Friday welcome event will take place in the heart of the city square, making it easy to walk to from most hotels and accommodations in central San Miguel. The wedding venue, however, is located approximately 2.5 miles from the city center, so guests should plan to take an Uber or taxi to and from the ceremony & reception on Saturday evening.
