Chandler and Joe's story began at Deloitte in the San Francisco practice. They started as co-workers and then became friends. One afternoon, shortly before disconnecting for the December holiday break, Joe sent Chandler a message asking if she’d join him for a drink. They spent the rest of that evening talking about anything and everything, not wanting the night to end. They went their separate ways for the next several weeks, Chandler to Minnesota and Joe at home in San Francisco. They stayed in touch, played it cool waiting at least an hour between texts, and then reconnected the second week of January. The rest was history. They moved in together within three months, went through the highs and lows of their first Deloitte busy season, and eventually came head on with a final test: Covid stay-at-home orders in a Bay Area sized apartment. Also introduced at this time was a game Chandler would come to fear and despise in Call of Duty Warzone (if you don’t know what this is, consider yourself lucky, she swears). They passed with flying colors. The truth of that matter is it was never a test. They’ve always known they were each other's person. Joe proposed on the beach in Maui several years later, promising to love, support, and care for Chandler forever if she’d take his hand. They now live in Walnut Creek with their two year old Cavapoo, Teddy, where they love staying in and cooking together or sneaking away to Napa.
