Despite having gone to Conestoga High School together, we didn't officially meet until we were both living in Philadelphia in 2020. We crossed paths for the first time at the Irish Pub in Center City. Chan was looking for the coat she had left on a barstool near where Griff was standing, and remembering her from school, he said hi. The coat was found – with a very large stranger sitting on top of it – and Griff suggested she leave the coat behind. We walked home (and Griff almost left without remembering to get Chan's number!) and we started dating the next week.

Chandler thought they were going to her parents' house for dinner, but when they arrived, the house seemed empty. Chan's mom came down and asked them to help her set up a bonfire in the backyard while everyone else finished getting ready. Down at the bonfire, Griff dropped to one knee and Chan said yes. The Sopko and Lee families – who had all been hiding upstairs! – watched the whole thing and erupted into cheers, and we celebrated all night.
