Regarding the Date Change

February 22, 2020

Dear Family and Close Friends, In regards to the upcoming wedding between Erin Cunningham and Chandler Rikard, we have decided to postpone the wedding. The original wedding date of September 28, 2019, has now been moved to February 22, 2020. It is with our most sincere apologies to deliver this information so close to the original wedding date. Due to recent events, we feel this decision is for our benefit and will allow us more time to grieve the loss of our loved one. There will be a formal invitation sent out containing all of the details for the new date. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience that this date change may cause. If you have any further questions regarding the date change or any details feel free to reach out to me at (803) 507-4171 or email emc4@usca.edu. We appreciate and love you all. Thank you for understanding, Erin Cunningham & Chandler Rikard

How We Met

September 2012

One night we both happened to end up in Gregory's backyard. We had never met each other before but were immediately drawn to one another. For Erin, it was because of Chandler's neon sneakers he was wearing and for Chandler, it was Erin's charm. The next morning Erin and her friend ended up going back over to the Gregory household to hang out some more. When Chandler heard that Erin and her friend were back over there he rushed out of his house and got there as soon as he could. After two weeks of texting, we started dating and now almost seven years later we are getting married.

The Proposal

September 2018

For our six-year dating anniversary, we took a weekend trip to Charleston, SC. I did not think anything out of the ordinary about this trip because we go on a few vacations every year, and it just happened to be our anniversary. The trip started out normal as we went to a bar and watched a Clemson game. Afterward, we got ready to go out to dinner and on the Uber ride to dinner I felt a box in Chandler's pocket and I got really excited. All night that night I was waiting for him to propose, but he never did. Chandler told me he did not propose that night because the moment was not right, but I think he was just trying to torture me. Thankfully the next morning we took a trip to Fort Moultrie and he finally asked me on top of a watchtower overlooking the ocean. My favorite part was the car ride home when I got to call everyone and tell them the news and hear all of their reactions. We really do have the most supportive family around us and can not wait to celebrate with everyone.
