See You Guys in May!!

We met in true nerd fashion when we were grouped together for our high school science fair. Dodge was in 9th grade and Chandler had just transferred to his school for her 10th grade year. Not surprisingly, Dodge did the majority of the project (finding the freezing points of important things like cat litter...). It must've been those science skills of his, or the way she rambled on while he was trying to focus...but we became great friends, who eventually became crushes. Eventually, things were kicked up a notch when Chandler started to get invited over to Dodge's basement lair to watch romantic things such as, for example, Saw (and secretly hold hands so his sister didn't see). And the rest is history!

It was a brisk 29 degree Christmas Day, wind blowing probably 15mph, -- but after we opened presents at the Moore's Dodge asked if I wanted to take the boat out to our favorite little place (White Island) and let Weezie run and throw the ball. Other than it being frigid, I didn't think anything of it. It's our little place we like to go with the pup when we're home for the holidays to let her run wild and get some energy out. We brought our usual holiday comrade, Madeline, who later became a sly photographer when after throwing Weezie's ball one direction (my gaze following...the dog), Dodge got down on one knee in the other direction. There was a lot of screaming and a lot of me "making sure" that he was serious, but somewhere in the mix, there was a yes! We can't wait to celebrate with you in Pensacola!! Chan & Dodge
