We met our freshman year of high school! We had a lot of mutual friends, but it wasn't until the beginning of junior year when we actually started talking and becoming closer friends. We went on our first date Labor Day Weekend of Junior year, and the rest is history!

Chris had asked me to go to dinner that night. I didn't think much of it, but he said he'd pick me up at 4pm. I was a little confused why we were going to dinner so early, but I just went with it. He picked me up and said we needed to stop by a shop in Downtown Franklin to pick up his mom a Christmas gift. We parked and saw my best friend and her boyfriend by the Christmas tree in the middle of the square. We ran over to say hi and offer to take a picture of them. After I took their picture, Chris said we should get one, and in the midst of our picture he got down on one knee! A few tears later I said yes, of course! Chris's sister, Emily, was hiding behind a car taking photos, while the rest of our families and friends hid in other nearby places. It was so sweet when they all came out to celebrate with us!
