We first met in 2018 while we were both students at the University of North Texas in Denton. On the very night Maci moved to town, her roommates decided to take her to Fry Street. That’s where she was introduced to Chance for the very first time. A quick introduction led to texting, which led to hanging out, and soon it felt like we were spending more and more time together. We had our favorite Denton spots; Rooster Roadhouse for Lunch, Oak Street Café for breakfast before class (sadly closed but we still miss it), and Tom’s after long days on campus, which makes it even more special that our reception will be held there. Before long, we had both graduated from UNT and moved into our first apartment together in Denton at the end of 2019. From there, we went on to live in two more apartments; first in Las Colinas, then in Grapevine. With each move, we learned more about each other, kept growing closer, and our love grew deeper. In 2024, we bought our first home together! Then, on Valentine’s Day in 2025, Chance proposed! At the time, he was working part-time at a local winery and told Maci to meet him there at the end of his shift before heading to dinner. Maci didn’t think twice: she got dressed (thankfully she decided to dress up) and headed over. Chance handed her a glass of rosé and guided her around the corner. As she turned, Maci started recognizing familiar faces; both of their families, her best friends from high school, Chance's best friend, and suddenly it all clicked. Chance had planned a proposal and Maci had no idea. Once they reached everyone, Chance got down on one knee, told Maci how much he loved her (don’t ask her for a recap—she instantly forgot everything he said), and asked her to marry him. She, of course, said YES! That night they celebrated with friends and family, who finally got to reveal all the secrets they had been keeping from her. And now, we’re getting married! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.
