Things To Do & See

While you are in town, feel free to adventure! Here are some of our favorite things to do and see. Aside from this short list, Google is another great starting place ;)

Downtown Paso Robles

12th Street, Paso Robles, CA 93446

This downtown area is full of shops and especially great places to eat. I can't even begin to recommend a restaurant, there are simply too many to choose from. This is where Google comes in handy! Whatever you are in the mood for, you can find it!

Wine Tasting!!

Paso Robles, CA 93446

There are more than 300 wineries in Paso Robles alone! With simply too many to choose from, here are several that we recommend: - Austin Hope Winery - - - Or a full list of wineries can b found at the link above! Also note, we are going wine tasting May 29th and would love for anyone who wants to, join us! See the Schedule page for more details!

Breweries and Distilleries

For those who prefer beer and liquor to wine, here is a website with a few recommendations!

Bishops Peak Trail Head

Brittany Circle, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405

This is the first hike I ever went on and have gone back many times since. It's a climb, but the views at the top are worth it!

Serenity Swing

Serenity Swing Trail, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405
, (949) 501-0988

Be prepared to possibly experience vertigo like my dad did when we first hiked this trail together! Otherwise an easy hike, you get to pass by Cal Poly's Architecture graveyard where Architecture students in past years have built some really neat structures. At the top, you can swing out over the hill top and soak in the beautiful views of San Luis Obispo!

MontaƱa de Oro State Park

3550 Pecho Valley Road, Los Osos, CA 93402
, (805) 528-0513

Tons of trails in this state park and right at the beach. One of our favorite areas to go to, where hiking and the beach go hand in hand!

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area

100 Pier Avenue, Oceano, CA 93445
, (805) 773-7170

This recreational site will be shut down in the next couple of years, but it is a super fun place to ride dune buggies or other 4x4 vehicles on the endless dunes in Oceano.

Hearst Castle

750 Hearst Castle Road, San Simeon, CA 93452
, (800) 444-4445

Morro Bay

Morro Bay, CA

This town at the coast has a bay where you can rent kayaks and cruise past some seals and out to a giant rock that is very notable for the area.

Cayucos

Cayucos, CA 93430

Adorable beach town with a pier. Also, our favorite beach!

California 1

California 1, Big Sur, CA

Drive up Highway 1 along the coastline and cliffs and stop at one of many lookout points, waterfalls, tons of hiking trails, and even Elephant Seal Beach in San Simeon. If you dare to drive the distance, you will eventually make it to Carmel and Monterey.

State Street

State Street, Santa Barbara, CA

If you rent a car and have the time, drive down to beautiful Santa Barbara and enjoy the many shops, restaurants, as well as the beach.

For all the days along the way
