FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Chamnong and Jordan Stubblefield
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Attire for the wedding is formal. Midi to floor-length dresses/skirts/pantsuits for the ladies, and coats and ties for the gentlemen.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are strongly encouraging a date night out without the kids! We understand if you are unable to make other arrangements for little ones, but just keep in mind that the ceremony will be a full Mass, lasting at least one hour.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please refer to your RSVP to see how many guests you are allowed.

Question

I'm not Catholic- what should I do during Communion?

Answer

If you are not Catholic, you should not receive Communion. However, you are welcome to walk in the Communion line with others, and cross your arms over your chest to receive a blessing. Otherwise, you are free to remain in your pew.

Question

Where do I go after the ceremony?

Answer

Cocktail hour will begin at Haven at 4:00pm, so you will have some time after the ceremony to hang out downtown, freshen up, and watch some football before heading to the reception venue!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Parking for the ceremony is available in the Diocesan/church lot located on the corner of 3rd Avenue North and 22nd Street N. There is also a parking deck/garage (Birmingham Parking Authority Deck 4) requiring a small fee located on the corner of 4th Avenue North and 22nd Street N. Street parking is usually available on weekends (depending on area activities) for both the ceremony and reception.
