our next great adventure

We matched on OK Cupid on a Sunday morning, texted nonstop for six hours, and got together for drinks that same night. When the waitress carded us both, she announced our birthdays were only a day apart - and on the walk home, we discovered we lived only blocks apart. It wasn't long before Alan was stopping by my apartment for a kiss whenever he went for a jog, and I was coming over in the morning with coffee and breakfast from our favorite coffee shop.

Once we settled into our relationship, we knew we would have to have a joint birthday party, since our birthdays are back to back. Our first Birthdays Party was a rousing success, with both of our friend groups coming together for incredible food & company. The evening ended with us enjoying a distant lightning storm at 1 am - truly magical!

When the COVID-19 lockdown changed everything, we began to split time between each others' homes. Alan said "When I was at home with the cats I was worried about Annie, and when I was with Annie I was worried about the cats." And so naturally, we decided the solution was to move in together. The next 2 years of our relationship was largely spent at home.
