we're getting married!

Our story started at a music festival in Arcadia, WI. In the backyard of a friend's relative, we were introduced. Hannah was distracted by Colton's blue eyes and cut-off jean shorts, while Colton remembers Hannah radiating with a glow. Little did we know then that this would be the start of our story.

In August, Hannah, my sister, and I were camping at a state park in Illinois. It was a place my sister and I used to visit every summer when we were kids, so it already felt special. The three of us, along with our dog Calvin, went on a hike down a creek path on a trail that was much more overgrown than I remembered. I was trying to find the bridge where I wanted to propose, but soon realized it was no longer there. Had a quick change of plans and found a sunny spot by the water instead. As the sun hit the creek during the golden morning light, I knew it was the perfect moment. I pulled out my phone and showed Hannah a Spotify playlist we made together when we first met. I showed her that when you take the first letter of the first 20 song titles, it spells out, “Hannah, will you marry me?” I got down on one knee, and the rest is history.
