Thursday, January 4, 2024 the SweatPals app hosted a Single's hot yoga event at Karma yoga. Shawn and Lisa both signed up for the HIIT class (both felt regular hot yoga was not enough of a workout). The moment Shawn saw Lisa walk in the studio, he knew he needed to talk to her. Lisa found her spot on her yoga mat none the wiser. About an hour later, smelly and drenched in sweat, Lisa was grabbing her things to leave when Shawn found the opportunity to introduce himself. "Do you play pickleball?" Shawn questioned. Turns out, Lisa was excited for a new friend and met up with Shawn at the Pan Am Pickleball courts that Sunday. Over the course of the next few weeks, they would become friends and eventually go on their first date January 18th, 2024.
