What hotel can we book at?
Answer
We’ve reserved a block of rooms at The Blake Hotel, a charming boutique hotel with limited rooms available, located at 44 Howe Street, New Haven, CT. We encourage guests to book as soon as possible to make sure everyone who needs accommodations over the wedding weekend can be accommodated. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call The Blake and speak directly with their staff. There will also be a link on this website where you can view and book rooms online. The rooms feature kitchenettes, offering extra flexibility—especially helpful for families with little ones. The hotel also has a parking garage available for guests, plus a rooftop bar and a restaurant in the lobby for you to enjoy. We hope your stay is comfortable and that you enjoy The Blake as much as we do! Please book a room by April 1st!

How do we book at The Blake Hotel?
Answer
Please note that check-in time is 4:00 PM. You may want to consider arriving the day before the wedding. To book a room, you will need a credit card, but you will not be charged until check-out. Can we stay at The Study?
Answer
We have received an additional room block (Thursday 7/16 & Friday 7/18 only) at The Study at Yale, located at 1157 Chapel Street in New Haven, CT. Guests can book directly within our room block at the discounted rate using the link below—no promo code is required. Can we stay at another hotel?
Answer
If you are looking at other places to stay, we recommend The New Haven Hotel. Although we do not have a block of rooms set aside, they are a bigger hotel and should be able to accommodate room reservations for our wedding weekend. Please call them to book as soon as possible 203-498-3100. Additionally, the Omni Hotel is another large hotel option in the area. Front Desk - 203-772-6664. The Blake Hotel is still our home base for the wedding weekend, and we have obtained shuttle services to and from this hotel. The Study, New Haven Hotel and Omni are all within one block’s distance from The Blake Hotel. Once you book your accommodations, please let Gina Chamberlain know via text to 203-214- 2873, so that we can arrange the shuttle to stop at multiple hotel locations.

Do we need a car?
Answer
You’re welcome to bring or rent a car if you’d like, but New Haven is very walkable and well-served by rideshare options like Uber and Lyft. The only events that aren’t within walking distance are the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as the picnic on Saturday, July 18. For everything else, you won’t need a car unless you prefer having one!

What is parking like?
Answer
We understand that parking in the city can be a bit daunting, so we kept it in mind when planning the wedding. The Blake Hotel offers a private parking garage for guests staying at the hotel, so you can safely leave your car there during your stay. The ceremony at St. Mary Church does not have a dedicated parking lot, but it's located on a quiet street with ample parallel parking nearby. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to find a good spot. The reception will be held at the New Haven Lawn Club, which has two entrances; guests are advised to use the Humphrey Street entrance to access the venue. A large private parking lot will be available for all wedding guests.

How can we RSVP?
Answer
We will be sending RSVP cards in paper format as part of your wedding invitation! Please keep an eye out for the invitations, which will include both the RSVP and meal choice cards, arriving in the next few months. Kindly note that we will not be collecting RSVPs online.
Question
Will transportation to the ceremony and reception be provided?
Answer
Guests will be Transported: - From The Blake Hotel to St. Mary’s Church Starting at 3:45 PM – shuttle will make two trips if necessary! - From St. Mary’s Church to New Haven Lawn Club - From New Haven Lawn Club back to The Blake Hotel The shuttle will be in the parking lot to transport guests back to the hotel as needed from the wedding!
