It was Fall 2007 at a highschool club called Youth and Government when Susanna and Charles first met. Their first encounter was when Susanna asked Charles for a pair of scissors during a group activity. What started off as a friendship quickly evolved into endless nights of phone calls and exchanging text messages, which eventually led them to their first date on Christmas Eve 2007. They watched a movie called “7 Pounds” at Del Amo AMC. After countless attempts to make Susanna his girlfriend, she finally said "Yes" at Hickory Park, Torrance on April 9, 2008. Since then, they have been inseparable.

Fast forward to 10 years, Charles nervously got on his knee to pop the biggest question of his life at Fred Hesse Park, Palos Verdes. Susanna excitedly yelped, "YES!!!"
