FAQs

The Wedding Website of Chaiyanne Monteiro-Dobson and Ryan Poma
If you have any other questions or concerns not listed here, please feel free to reach out to us. We are happy to answer any questions you may have!
Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, invitations are limited to named guests only.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Our wedding will be an adults-only event, except that children specifically named on the invitation will be included in the celebration. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating.

Question

Can I stay at a different hotel?

Answer

To make the most of the wedding weekend, we highly encourage guests to stay at Dreams Bahia Mita (Secrets), where all the wedding festivities will be held. Guests staying off property are welcome to join us for the ceremony; however, reception access is limited to resort guests. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

When should guest arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving Thursday, July 22 or Friday, July 23 so you have time to settle in, relax, and enjoy the resort before the wedding.

Question

Is there a room block?

Answer

There is no traditional room block, so we strongly recommend booking early to secure your room and lock in the best available rate.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes. All guests traveling to Mexico will need a valid passport. Please make sure your passport is not expired and that it will still be valid for the dates of your trip. We recommend checking this early so you have enough time to renew it if needed.

Question

Is transportation from the airport to the hotel included?

Answer

Roundtrip airport transportation is not automatically included, but guests can add airport shuttles to their package when booking through our Destify website. Please click “View Rates” on the booking page to see shuttle pricing and availability.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal. Please dress to impress! Puerto Vallarta is warm and humid in July, so we recommend choosing lightweight, breathable fabrics while maintaining formal attire. We encourage guests to embrace the vibrant colors of our Tropical Garden Romance celebration. Think guava pink, palm green, turquoise, sunshine yellow, coral, orange, and other bold tropical hues that complement the beauty and energy of Puerto Vallarta. Out of respect for the bride, we kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing white, ivory, cream, champagne, or any color that may photograph similarly. If you find yourself wondering whether an outfit is too white, please choose another option. Thank you for helping us keep this tradition special.
