We met courtesy of the matchmaker extraordinaire, Jenn Hahn, who thought Camilla might take an interest in her new coworker at a law firm in Washington DC. Her new colleague, John, who had just moved to DC from NYC for a new job, was eventually convinced for a setup. The initial meeting did not happen due to bad weather but we luckily made it happen on Friday the 13th of April 2018, the peak of cherry blossom season in the DC area. Jenn played chaperone as we met up at the Line Hotel for drinks, which eventually led to dinner at an odd stand-up restaurant. We had a fun night and hit it off pretty well... so we met up the next day as well for an actual 1-on-1 date. Little did either of us (nor Jenn) ever think it would lead to this day. But here we are... after 4 years of DC/NYC long-distance, job changes, John's move back to NYC, a pandemic, moving to New Jersey together and many ups and downs, we have made it to this momentous day. And we are beyond happy that we get to celebrate it with our dearest family and friends!
