We're excited to share a few of our favorite spots with you! Favorite Hikes: Easy Ocean Path Jordan Pond Path Moderate: Great Head Trail (1.6 mi) Gorham Mountain (1.6 mi) Difficult/ Strenuous (avoid these trails if you're afraid of heights): Beehive (1.4 mi) Precipice ( 3.2 miles arguably the most thrilling and dangerous hike in Acadia) Favorite Restaurants: Galyn's. Amazing nachos and their Maine Indian Pudding is one of the best desserts we've ever had! Geddys. Fun, family-friendly restaurant and bar. We recommend heading to their bar and ordering the volcano bowl. Best Lobster Shacks If you're looking for a lobster dinner around $12 -$15, hit up these little side of the road shacks. The famous Shore Path in Bar Harbor, Maine begins at the Town Pier next to Agamont Park, goes a short distance to the East past the Bar Harbor Inn, then wraps around a point before continuing South for about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile along the eastern shore of Mount Desert Island. Originally created around 1880, people from all over the world have walked on this path while enjoying the sights, sounds and smells ever since. You should plan on at least one early morning walk here while visiting Acadia National Park.
