We met when Chad transferred to his second duty station in the United States Marine Corps. The first week of Chad working with me, I asked if he would like to go on a run with me after work. He blindly accepted; even though he knew I would be faster than him! During the run, we only planned on running three miles. However, those three miles turned into six because we started talking and getting to know each other. From that moment on Chad and I were inseparable and over the course of the next year our relationship grew from friends to best friends to a romantic love. Chad expressed his feelings to me and all I could think is I love this man. Chad asked me to marry him in Big Bear, California on the shore of Big Bear Lake. We had reservations that evening and he purposely had us leave early for it. I had no idea that the reservations were for an hour after the time we had arrived. He called the restaurant to “change the reservation” he knew fully that they wouldn’t. Chad had already picked out the perfect spot to teach me how to skip rocks on the lake, I had no idea. I turned around after finding the best skipping rock I could and Chad was on one knee. I think the best part of the whole story aside the fact that we GOT ENGAGED is that some women who happened to be passing by had captured some photos of the moment at a far. We are so excited for this next chapter and hope that you can make it to celebrate with us!
