Flight
Sydney’s airport code is SYD and is the main international airport to service the city. Hawaiian Airlines as well as many others will service the region. Just shop around for the best deals, a layover in a fun city is also a great way to break up a long flight :)
Travel Note
Download the “AustralianETA” app on the apple or android App Store and apply for a visa to enter Australia. Cost is 20 USD and its valid for 2 years. Processing can take up to 72 hours so please take care of this early as its required to enter the country.
Rental Car
Please remember cars drive on the left side of the road! It’s suggested to have a rental car as trains do not service the Northern Beaches region. If you are not confident in driving down under please look at the guest list and sharing is a great option. Uber and buses are available but the time table for those are limited. Cars are not needed for the first few days in the city.
House Or Rental
We will be renting a house in the Whale Beach/ Palm Beach area. Avalon is also a nice area and somewhat close to the venue. LJHooker is the local realtor that handles most northern beach rentals and is about a grand cheaper than VRBO for the same property. LJhooker website is the suggest route for lodging as hotel rooms are very limited on the Northern Beaches. Please reach out to family and friends as many large beautiful beach front homes are ready to rent and share! Click the link and explore!
Hotel
If you like to spend a couple nights in the city, Circular Quay is a fun and lively central area.
Train
To Circular Quay public transit from the airport is pretty simple. Hop on the T8 line towards city center and get off at Circular Quay if staying in that area. Apple Maps will be your best friend in getting around.
