Chad and Deborah met via their local online garage sale. One fall day, Chad messaged Deborah on Facebook to buy a recently listed item of hers. Deborah being her worst-case-scenario self, decided to creep Chad's profile to ensure he wasn't some bad guy out to kidnap her. But all seemed safe. During their sales exchange outside Deborah's apartment a little later, she shyly informed Chad that she had "noticed" he was a mechanic at the local Harley Davidson, and how she was in the market for her own iron horse. She explained what kind of bike and price, and asked if he'd be willing to keep an eye out for her. He didn't respond with with much other than a stare and a twinkle in his eye. She didn't catch on. Time went on, the two never spoke again, Deborah went on to buy a '99 Fatboy at Black Hills Harley Davidson, and of course the couple cannot remember who friended who on Facebook. One day, upon an apparent breakup, Deborah posted on Facebook how she was done with men and was tired of them all. Within 10 min, *ding* came an unexpected message from Chad that read "Hey, are you ok? Are you good?" Her response was a long, fired up explanation of how she was fine but how men are all horrible. Chad listened and listed, and eventually left her speecheless with a response of "Well, maybe some guys are scared to tell you how they feel." Chad began to steal her heart that month. On October 7th, 2019 Chad took her on their first date, on his motorcycle, into the sunset above Oahe Dam. That was originally another evening Deborah had first told him she'd be "busy working late"... On August 16, 2020, while on a motorcycle trip to the UP of Michigan with some of their Militiamen family, they stopped at Upper Falls at Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Chad dropped to his knee on the main trail, again leaving Deborah speechless. A little over a year of engagement, many motorcycle rides, and 6 dogs later; Chad, Deborah, and Jaden are very excited to start their new union together.
