Riverfront City Park
A great launching point for lots of fun activities! Bonus- it's within easy walking distance of our venue! Home to Salem’s Riverfront Carousel, A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village, and the EcoEarth Globe. It connects to Minto-Brown Island Park by the Peter Courtney Minto Island Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge and to Wallace Marine Park by the Union Street Railroad Bridge.
Gilbert House Children's Museum
Pickett and Whitaker kids-- we think you'll love this place!! (2 minute walk from the Riverfront Park)
Bush's Pasture Park
Another large, beautiful park close to downtown. Check out the Rose Garden.
The Book Bin
We love bookstores! This is located downtown near the venue and is one of our favorites. May we suggest that you pair a Book Bin outing with a trip to one of the local coffee shops. The Governor's Cup and Ike Box are both within easy walking distance.
Brew Coffee & Tap House - W. Salem
A 10 minute drive from downtown. This coffee shop is located in the basement of what used to be the West Salem City Hall. A very fun, quirky place with a lot of history.
Venti's Cafe + Basement Bar
One of our favorite places downtown to grab a bite to eat. Order at the counter and then you can sit down or do take-out.
