It all started in an Anatomy & Physiology class — where most great love stories begin, right? At first, we were just classmates, but things quickly changed when we started sharing study notes. That small academic connection sparked something bigger, and before we knew it, Alexa was asking Chad what classes she should take for the next semester… and surprise — we ended up in all the same ones. We started studying together regularly and slowly but surely, those study sessions turned into something more. Hanging out became just as important as hitting the books. Our most iconic hangout? Driving a whole hour to the Dairy Queen in Warren, PA — not just for the ice cream, but for the conversations that made the trip worth every mile. When summer hit, distance stepped in. Alexa lived two and a half hours away, so the school year ended with a bit of uncertainty. But in August, she returned early for RA training, and we picked up right where we left off. Not long after, on September 18, 2023, we made it official and started dating. From that point on, life became one big (and amazing) adventure. Whether it was a spontaneous trip to Florida with Kim, cheering on the Bills at playoff games, or watching March Madness in Albany, we were always finding new ways to make memories — and laugh through the chaos. As time flew, Chad graduated, and Alexa's senior year crept up. Amid job hunts, licensing exams, and the whirlwind of life changes, we stayed grounded in each other. Chad got his first teaching job, and Alexa began the final chapter of her college career and basketball journey. We leaned on one another through the highs and lows: Alexa cheering Chad on through his first year of teaching, and Chad supporting Alexa as she closed out her time as a student-athlete. Then came the summer of big steps. Chad started his second job at Allegany-Limestone, Alexa landed her first teaching position, we moved in together, and welcomed our first puppy, Myla — our little fur baby who’s as crazy as we are. And finally, on July 18, 2025, in the middle of a summer full of milestones, Chad proposed — and Alexa said yes!
