A series of small world coincidences truly created the perfect love story for Chace and Maddie. (If you know the story-you know. And if you'd like to know, ask away, but you may get confused... lol) It all started back in March of 2022 when Maddie was doing what she does best, scrolling on social media on her phone. One day when she was scrolling on Instagram the "People You May Know" feature popped up and she saw the name "Chace McCardle". Maddie instantly messaged Riley (Chace's sister) and said "OMG why did you never tell me you had a brother?!?!" Riley swore that she had mentioned at some point in the past two years of them knowing each other that she had mentioned her little brother, but Maddie thinks otherwise. Maddie followed Chace hoping for a follow back in return, and what do you know, she got it! Maddie was never the person to get straight to the point when trying to get someone's attention- she always wanted to be subtle. So what did Maddie do? She posted her Snapchat on her Instagram story praying that Chace would see it and add her, and guess what, IT WORKED. From there on Maddie and Chace would Snapchat here and there. Chace was in college playing hockey for Trine University, so he was living in Angola, Indiana, two hours away from Maddie. About two weeks later, Maddie caught wind that Chace was going to be home for the weekend to attend a 30th birthday party for his now brother-in-law Andrew. She knew she had to find her way there so she could meet Chace in person. Maddie tried SOOOOOOOO hard to throw hints at Chace that she wanted to be invited to the party to meet him, but he sure did a good job at acting oblivious to those hints. Eventually, Alicia just ended up asking Riley if Maddie could tag along to the party with her and Tyler, and Riley said yes. April 9th, 2022, was the night Chace and Maddie met for the first time, and the rest is history. Through two school years of long distance, acquiring three degrees total between the two of them, graduating police academy, and obtaining full-time jobs, Maddie and Chace have never left each other's sides and have grown so much together. All of this stemmed from a series of small world coincidences and they are forever grateful for it. We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter of our love story with all of you there!
