We’d love to see our friends and family dressed up for our big day in semi-formal (‘cocktail garden party’) attire. Think summery colours, midi/maxi length dresses, and casual suits. To protect the grass, we ask that stiletto heels be avoided. Please no denim, t-shirts, shorts, or white colours.
The ceremony and following reception will be held outdoors at The House. There will be a formal tent and accommodations made for inclement weather.
Typically the weather in Newport, RI in September is a high of 70 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Given that the wedding will be by the water, it may be slightly cooler in the evening. Please check the weather for Newport, Rhode Island, USA a week or two leading up to the wedding for a more accurate forecast.
We will not be having a formal, sit-down plated meal. Instead, we are having various food caterers provide different cuisine options for guests to enjoy over the course of the reception.

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins we kindly ask that all phones and cameras be put away and silenced. Our goal is to have everyone be fully present with us. Before and after the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like!
No, there will not be parking available at The House. We have made arrangements for guests to park at ___ during the wedding, with shuttle accommodations to transport you to and from The House for the wedding.
