We met at Pacific Beach Run Club on March 25, 2024. It was a normal Wednesday for Cézanne, who had been going to run club every week since moving to San Diego in 2021. Parker, on the other hand, only goes about once a year — and somehow, the one time he went, he met Cézanne. As fate would have it, Blake (our officiant) knew Charlene (one of the bridesmaids) from college. Charlene invited Cézanne to hang out with her college friend, who happened to bring along his coworker and friend: Parker. Cézanne and Parker sat next to each other and immediately hit it off. After leaving that night, Cézanne turned to Charlene and said, “I think he’s really cute,” and Charlene encouraged her to follow him on Instagram. Parker, being the strategic man he is, waited for the perfect moment to ask Cézanne on a date. Our first date was on April 16, 2024, in Hillcrest. We went on a Taco Tuesday crawl, stopping at multiple restaurants and sharing one taco at each spot. We ended the night with ice cream and a walk through University Heights — little did we know that just a year later, we would call that neighborhood our first home together. We quickly realized how much we loved spending time together and knew this relationship was something special. Love had always seemed difficult to find, but once we found each other, loving one another felt like the easiest thing to give. After a deployment, multiple Marine Corps trainings, traveling to 3 countries together - we truly bring out the best in one another and forever sounds good to us. Parker proposed to Cézanne on February 14, 2026, in San Diego. Parker’s parents flew in from Florida, and Cézanne’s family joined the surprise and we celebrated together. We can't wait to get married in the city where we met with our loved ones and closest friends. See you on March 20, 2027!
