Escondido is fairly centrally located between San diego County and Orange County.
Things to do in Orange County if you are having an extended stay. It will be nice and warm and you will want to keep cool.
Visit any beaches located up the coast- San Clemente, Dana Point,Laguna Beach, Corona Del Mar, Newport Beach or Huntington Beach. You will find great shopping and restaurant choices throughout these beach towns.
Check out Catalina for the day and take the Ferry over to the island for a day trip
