Question

What is the event attire?

Answer

Attire will be "beach semi-formal". Bring your vacation best! Primary colors will include: golden orange, coral, red, fuschia, deep green, pink. Let the beauty of a sunset guide you in selecting your outfit colors :). Women: Maxi dresses, cocktail length dresses are all great choices, worn with dress sandals. Low or no heels recommended as the venue is in a beach garden (i.e. part grass/part sand). Men: Slacks and dress shirt, sportscoats, dress shoes. No denim. Khaki, linen, chinos are fine. Light fabrics encouraged! Please feel free to ask Cesar or Theresa for clarification on attire.

Question

What are options for transportation?

Answer

From the PVR airport, you have a few transportation options: - Hotel shuttle (check with your hotel before booking that this option is available) - Uber (very popular ride share app, great for being able to see the driver's route) - Car rental (from the airport) Once you arrive in Sayulita, nearly everything is in walking distance to the main square. Our venue is just a 5 minute walk from the square. Please see the Travel Info section of the website for some hotel options with walking distance indicated.

Question

Anything I should know about traveling in Mexico?

Answer

Puerta Vallarta and the Punta Mita region where Sayulita is located, is an extremely popular tourist destination. You should feel safe wherever you choose to go, however please take precaution to not carry expensive items visible, or accept ride offers from any cars that aren't clearly designated to take you where you intend to go. The typical uber/taxi tip is 10%. Tap water in Mexico does not agree with U.S. travelers. To avoid discomfort (and stay hydrated!) please only choose to drink bottled water during your trip, filtered water is sometimes not enough.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is space within the venue (a walled garden) for about 20 vehicles. The vehicle/ pedestrian entrance is located on C. Playa Azul. No street parking outside the venue.

Question

What is the venue like?

Answer

Frente al Punto is a beautiful, spacious beach club in the heart of Sayulita. The gated street entrance will lead you along a path from the back of the garden, winding through towering palm trees to a grassy meadow that opens directly on to the sand, with the Pacific Ocean at your feet! A covered bar and men's & women's restrooms are onsite. More information (and photos!) here: https://www.frentealpunto.com/wedding-in-sayulita

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

April is an excellent time of year to visit Puerto Vallarta. High temps will be in the low 80s, cooling to mid-60s at night. To offset the heat, please stay hydrated (with bottled water!) frequently throughout your trip.

Question

Local currency?

Answer

Current exchange rates for the Mexican pesos are roughly 19 per $1 USD. It is a good idea to have some pesos on hand before the trip, and be aware of any fees your bank may charge for withdrawals abroad.

Question

What other practical items should I know?

Answer

A few practical items to pack: -sunscreen -bug spray -hats -sunglasses -a bottle or two of water (in a checked bag) if you feel like it (although its available everywhere) - Download the Uber rideshare app just in case it comes in handy. The easiest spot to get an Uber from the airport is by exiting left, and crossing the bridge to the street just outside the airport. - Please check in for your flight the night before, and arrive at your airport no later than 2 hours prior to departure. - Electrical outlets match U.S. chargers (no adapters needed), but the wall outlets may be a little loose, so double check your electronics are charging.
