Hey all, It’s Sarah! For those that don’t know the full story of how Cesar and I met, I will give you all the details you need to know! It all began when we first met each other from working at The Cheesecake Factory in 2011. Although, we had worked together for a while, we never really had a chance to talk on a personal level. Then, one day, on a slow night, we worked right next to each other and we finally had a chance to get to know each other and we realized we had a lot of things in common. Later that evening, we decided to share some food and dessert for dinner at work. That was the beginning of our friendship! Fast forward a few weeks later, I took a trip to NYC to celebrate a friend’s birthday. My friends and I decided to eat and shop around Time Square. We stopped in a souvenir store and I came across a key chain that said, “I Love NY”, which immediately reminded me of him because of how much he was raving about the NY Yankees. After returning from my trip, I mentioned to him I had a small surprise. I questioned whether to give it to him because I didn’t want to send the wrong message. I finally mustered up the courage to give the key chain after I finished my dinner shift. As I was walking out to the parking garage, he ran up to me and asked for me to write down his number on my phone, “if I ever needed anything”. He doesn’t remember it that way, but that is how I remember it. After a couple months of talking and becoming better friends, he finally asked me out on a date. On our first date, he greeted me with a bouquet of roses and took me to a sushi restaurant. Without realizing, we ordered almost half the menu! The love of food we shared was one of the many reasons of what drew us even closer. It didn’t take long for us to realize how quickly we were developing feelings for each other. Before we knew it, we were already in love.
