If you have any other questions beyond what is listed here please reach out to Jay or myself through text. We are so happy and beyond grateful you are flying to Mexico to celebrate our wedding. We love you all!!!
Question

What if I want to bundle my flight/room with another site?

Answer

Per the hotels terms and conditions. They gave us a special low rate for our guests and consider our wedding a private event. If you choose NOT to book your room through Judy our TA, you will not get the lowest rates, you will have to purchase a special guest pass to attend our wedding even though you are staying at our resort, and be responsible for your own transfer to and from the airport. We urge you for these reasons to please book your rooms through our wedding group and not through the resort or third party site.

Ok! Book through Judy got it how do we do this?

Answer

Simple! Our Travel agent is Judy Nyere. To book your room give her a call at 954-455-0828 or send her an email at judy@planmytrip.me. She recommends everyone call so she can go over what room you want to get and answer any questions you have! And take your room deposits.

Wait!!! Room deposits what is that about?

Answer

* THIS HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO APRIL 15TH!! But don't hesitate to book now especially if you want a ocean view room! Everyone must pay a $50.00 dollar deposit per room to Judy by the end of March (this month) to hold your room. Jay and I understand this came up very quickly and some of you are not even sure you are able to attend yet. That's OK as a courtesy if you let us know through your RSVP by June 7th or before, we will personally refund your deposit through venmo or Zelle. * some of you also hate to call people 😂😬 we get it!! And don't worry we got you!! We have priced out an ocean view room for 3 days 4 days and 5 days tell us how many days you want and cerida will book your deposit with our wedding credit card and you can pay us through venmo

How do we go about paying for our rooms!

Answer

Judy will take care of anything that has to do with bookings. She will tell you about the payment schedule and cancellations! Different room categories have different prices and are based on double occupancy. Please note that a single occupancy room will be more expensive. Below are rates based on 3 nights! Can I buy my plane tickets how I want?

Answer

YES!! Feel free to book your plane tickets through Judy or just on your own. However you would like!

What airport do we fly into?

Answer

You will fly into Cancun International Airport. The resort is 1 hour 30 min away.

What dates do we book for?

Answer

Our wedding is on Saturday the 28th of August. Judy has your room rates based off a 3 night stay. You will want to book your tickets for the dates of August 26th to the 29th.

What if I want to stay longer?

Answer

You can absolutely do that as well. Judy will go over what days you want to come in early or stay later. Jay and I will arrive on the 25th and leave on the 31st.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Jay and I love kids (especially yours) however our resort does not. Secrets Akumal is adults only 18 years and older.

What about Covid??

Answer

Our resort is offering free Covid tests to all guests. You will need to schedule this test as soon as you arrive since your test needs to be valid 72 hours before you fly back to the states. You HAVE to be tested regardless if you are fully vaccinated or not.

Do I need pay for anything once I'm at the resort?

Answer

Your food and alcohol is all included at the resort! Extra activities or excursions if you want to take them are extra. We do recommend you bring some small US dollars to tip wait staff its not required but it is very appreciated by the staff and they do work so hard.

Do I need a passport for Mexico?

Answer

yes!! You do need a passport please make sure it's not on its way to expiring. It needs to be valid 6 months prior to your trip, if you need to renew or get one in general please do so ASAP and we highly recommending expediting as the passport office is behind on processing due to being closed for Covid.

Gifts and registry!!

Answer

We are so lucky to have everything we need. So we are doing no gifts. Seriously your presence is our present!! We are so incredibly happy you are even considering celebrating our special day with us
