How far is Dripping Springs from Austin?

Answer

Roughly 35 minutes from downtown Austin, depending on traffic of course. Our venue, Ma Maison, is just about 10 minutes further.

Question

Will there be transportation provided for guests?

Answer

Yes! Our 'home base' will be the Hotel ZaZa downtown. We highly recommend you take an Uber to the wedding on Saturday and we can get you back! Ubers are more difficult to get from Ma Maison, so for your convenience, we have arranged to have buses take you back downtown to Hotel ZaZa after the wedding celebration. Buses will be running throughout the night starting at 8:30pm and the last pickup will be at 11pm, so feel free to hop on to catch a ride back downtown! There are not a ton of Ubers available to pick up at the venue, so make sure to plan ahead. If you prefer to drive yourself, no problem!

Should I stay in a hotel or Airbnb?

Answer

Depends on what you plan to do while in the Austin area! The wedding will take place in the Hill Country so if you are looking to stay in that area, an AirBnB is probably your best option. If you'd prefer to explore Austin, you should probably stay in a hotel in the city! That way, you can walk to restaurants, bars, shops, etc!

Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Up to you! If you plan on driving around the city to explore, you should probably think about renting a car. We don't have great public transportation, so Uber/Lyft are really your best options if you choose to not rent a car.

Does Uber/Lyft go out to Dripping Springs?

Answer

Yes. They will drop off in Dripping Springs, but it is tougher finding a ride home from the venue.

What's the weather like in early November?

Answer

Absolutely perfect. Typically, sunny and 60-70 degrees during the day and 50s at night.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Black Tie Optional/Formal, please. We want you to feel comfortable, but at the same time would love if you would enjoy a night playing dress up!
