PJ and Celine met on the beautiful island of Guam. In June of 2018, after graduating from Central Washington University, Celine joined one of her professors and 4 other students on a trip overseas to Guam to complete an internship at Guam's DPHSS for 6 weeks. About a week into the trip Celine was introduced to PJ. In the weeks following their introduction, PJ and Celine spent every moment they could together. Whether that was hanging at the beach until dark and getting PJ's truck stuck in the sand when the tide came up, riding motorcycles around the entire island, eating at Linda's cafe at 3am, or drinking Coronas in PJ's driveway just talking and getting to know each other. What was supposed to be a "summer fling" quickly turned into more. After a short 6 weeks Celine left Guam and headed home to Washington so they agreed to continue their relationship from opposite sides of the world. Celine and PJ would spend the next 4 months FaceTiming any chance they could, which often meant staying up at odd hours of the night due to the 17 hour time difference. After what felt like eternity, the date was set for PJ to relocate to Washington. He arrived just one day before Thanksgiving in 2018. However their time together was short lived, as PJ was going to be living with his uncle in Ellensburg, a 3 hour drive from where Celine lived in Bremerton. So they continued their long distance relationship, just from a much shorter distance. After taking turns making the 3 hour drive every weekend for over a year, PJ secured a job in Bremerton and made the move there in January of 2020. Finally, their days of FaceTime were behind them. A year and a half later PJ proposed to Celine on June 26th, 2021 at Trillium Lake which is located near one of their favorite snowboarding spots, Mt. Hood. They are beyond excited to tie the knot in October and celebrate with all their family and friends in Las Vegas!
