Even though we were both in the the Corps of Cadets in college, it wasn't until we had just a little bit of school left that our paths crossed. We had the same friend groups for years, but it took meeting at the right time and right place for it all to click and come together. After our first date where we talked for over six hours hoping the night didn't have to end, we started on a whirlwind journey and haven't looked back since.
Whether you choose to subscribe to beliefs of the legitimacy of horoscopes or not, most would agree that our relationship is anything but normal. We were born just seven hours apart on the same day, of the same year -- June 7, 1995. We share the same Myers-Briggs personality type (ENFJ), the same glasses prescription, and generally a lot of the same tastes. As goofy as it all may seem, we can't help but think that as Genesis 2:24 states that in marriage, the two "shall become one flesh", they also may become one in spirit.
One thing that has made our relationship very strong is our inability to let go of our childlike wonder. To get excited over the smell after rainstorms, to want to wander where the road takes us, and to find value in the littlest of things. We share a strong affinity for the classics of A. A. Milne and what they represent: the true strength of friendship and love -- and through that, we hope to celebrate with you our marriage as we venture into the Hundred Acre Woods together.
