Dale and Celine met through Hinge (a dating app). Dale started by complimenting her smile! They conversed on lighter topics before Dale built up the courage to ask Celine on a date! After some back and forth on what to do they settled on going to Tea bar for a drink. Celine was on time, Dale arrived late. When he arrived, they hugged and introduced themselves. Upon stepping inside, they saw a near empty restaurant with chairs stacked on tables. They ordered their drinks and made their way outside. Quickly, Celine began to regret her choice of an iced beverage in the cold December weather. As they began to talk the conversation flowed. Celine shared her perspective on dating and that she was ready to find her person. Celine then threw her life story at Dale. She thought if he truly wanted to stay after that he’s a keeper. Meanwhile, Dale was nervous because sitting across from him was a gorgeous girl. As they talked his nerves eased, he appreciated their similarities despite different backgrounds. Similarities including a goofy sense of humor and a caring personality. As the night came to an end they both started walking to their cars. Dale turned to say goodbye and made his one mistake on the date, he side hugged her. All Celine could think on her drive home was “Welp, he didn’t like me”. Luckily when Dale asked for a second date, Celine forgave the faux pas, although she would certainly not forget it.
