We will start this tour by visiting the town of Suchitoto, a picturesque colonial town located on the slopes of the Suchitlan Lagoon, we will visit its church, its central square, and walk through its streets full of history and culture and then have lunch at Casa 1800. In the afternoon we will visit Lake Suchitlan, the largest artificial lake in El Salvador since it is formed by a hydroelectric dam, we will enter its waters through a boat ride to see some of its islands. We will visit the Ilamatepec or Santa Ana Volcano, whose indigenous name comes from the Nahuat word Ilamatepet and means: 'the hill of the old woman', With an elevation of 2,381 m a.s.l.; it's the highest volcano in El Salvador. This is one of the best hikes that El Salvador offers. Following the hike, we will visit Los Volcanes Complex National Park to visit and have lunch (paid separately) in one of the most famous spots in the country. We will also visit the famous Lake Coatepeque. For people who cannot or do not wish to do the climb to the Santa Ana Volcano they will be given the option to take a relaxing hike through the Cerro Verde National Park and enjoy a high-altitude coffee and an artisanal quesadilla. Start your experience with some physical activity in the Walter Thilo Deininger park where you can take a walk through this impressive forest with unmissable views of the beaches of freedom. In this natural park you can also raise your adrenaline with extreme activities such as rappelling, high ropes and zipline. For the less daring you can visit the caves that are hidden within this forest. Enjoy a delicious lunch and afterwards spend time enjoying the beach. Private surfing lessons also available for an additional cost ($45pp). End the day with an imposing sunset on the famous beach El Tunco that earns its name thanks to the similarity of the beach rock with a pig lying down looking up sunbathing. At the end of this tour we will take a tour to learn about the coffee culture in our country at Beneficio El Carmen. Finally, we will visit Santa Teresa Hot Springs and Spa, here we will have our lunch and have an afternoon full of relaxation in the hot springs and the natural spa. We will start our tour visiting one of the most important archaeological sites in El Salvador Joya de Cerén or better known as the "Pompeii of America," – a site declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. We'll take a panoramic tour through the main streets of the capital city of San Salvador, move to the Historic Center to visit the National Palace and learn about the political history of the country.
