How We Met

Celina's Perspective

I remember meeting Rex when I was in my junior year of high school in 2010. At this time, facebook was becoming popular. I remember scrolling across his facebook profile and thought to myself, "hey, he's kinda cuteee." This was odd for me, considering I have never been attracted to nor dated an asian guy before. I scrolled to his "about" section in hopes to learn more about him. His settings were on private, which meant the only way I would find out more was if I sent him a friend request! Once he accepted, I noticed he lived in Habersham and had many mutual friends with me (my mom's side of the family lives in that area). This was perfect! I now had something I could use to initiate a conversation with him. My first message to Rex read, "Hey Habersham boy." *Cringe* I know! And to my surprise he messaged back, "Hey Buford girl." This message led to a million phone calls where he had to buy multiple Straight Talk cards just to have minutes to talk to me, and a million skype calls. Who would have ever thought we’d be here 10 years later. We found each other at 16 and had a lot of maturing to do and self-discovering. But through it all, it had always led us back to each other, and I cannot wait to marry my soul mate.

How We Really Met

Rex's Perspective

As most of you may know, Celina and I met through Facebook. I was on my phone when she added me and saw that I had a new friend request. So, I went to see who it was and lord and behold it was Celina. My first impression was, "man, shes super cute." I was super excited and also had a ton of butterflies just from seeing her. I accepted the request and we began talking immediately. She called me "Habersham boy." At first I was like, "really? She really called me that? lol." I then in return called her "Buford girl." Yes, I know, not that flattering. But it was the first thing I replied and we just instantly hit it off from there. Fast forward to our first time meeting. It was at the Mall of Georgia. My family and I had planned to spend the day at the mall along with me making plans to see Celina as well. I vividly remember that day cause that was where we had our first kiss. In JC Penney, right in the jeans section. First it was a kiss, then it turned into a make out session. (xD) But nonetheless, from that day on, I knew it in my heart that she was someone very special. The way that she made me feel that day, the excitement I had in my heart, the huge dorky ass smile I had on my face the entire time I was with her. It's a day that I often reminisce and a day I will never forget. The day that made me realize I wanted to be with her everyday for the rest of my life :D <3
