We're getting married !

It was my first day at a new school where I knew nobody. Israel and I Shared 3rd period English Class together and sat at the same table. One of the girls asked me if I had B lunch and offered to sit with me during lunch. However, I did not share the same lunch and had A lunch. That is when Israel asked me where my next class was and that he would wait for me outside of my 4th period class to get lunch together. I remember walking out of class and immediately saw him standing there waiting for me because of how tall he was. We spent the entire lunch just the two of us getting to know each other and ever since that day we basically became inseparable I walked out of class every day and he’d be there waiting for me. Cómo nos conocimos. Era mi primer día en una escuela nueva donde no conocía a nadie. Israel y yo compartíamos la clase de inglés del tercer periodo y nos sentábamos en la misma mesa. Una de las chicas me preguntó si tenía el almuerzo B y se ofreció a sentarse conmigo durante el almuerzo. Sin embargo, no teníamos el mismo horario de almuerzo, yo tenía el almuerzo A. Fue entonces cuando Israel me preguntó a qué clase iba después, y me dijo que me esperaría afuera de mi clase del cuarto periodo para almorzar juntos. Recuerdo salir del salón y verlo de inmediato esperándome, por lo alto que era. Pasamos todo el almuerzo, solo los dos, conociéndonos, y desde ese día hemos sido inseparables. Todos los días salía de clase y él estaba ahí esperándome.

We had easily become best friends for two years, until it became obvious that we both wanted to be more. On May 20th, 2024, I met Israel at our usual spot in the morning, and there he was, waiting with a big sign that said, “SOOO … Official ??” and some flowers. Nuestra cita official. Fácilmente nos habíamos convertido en mejores amigos durante dos años, hasta que fue evidente que ambos queríamos algo más. We took a trip for Celina’s Birthday to Fredericksburg, TX, which is also one of the few places in Texas recognized as a Dark Sky Community. I wanted to take a trip to somewhere where we could stargaze since Celina had mentioned that when she was younger, she wanted to be an astronomer because of how much she loved seeing the stars. On November 17th, 2023 We took an afternoon hike to Enchanted rock which I was so nervous I remember wanting to throw up Celina had said “ We could turn around and just go back to the Airbnb if I was not feeling good” but, there was no way I was not going to go to the top of the rock to ask her to marry me. We reached the top and got to relax for about 20 minutes before the sun began to set. In the peak time of the sunset, I had whispered in her ear, “There was something I needed to ask her, but I needed her to stand up.” She jumped up so fast and began saying, “No wayyyy.” After she said yes, I pulled out a telescope and set up a picnic, and we got to spend the rest of the night looking at the stars. Nuestro compromise. Hicimos un viaje por el cumpleaños de Celina a Fredericksburg, Texas, que además es uno de los pocos lugares en Texas reconocidos como una Comunidad de Cielo Oscuro. Realmente quería hacer un viaje a algún lugar donde pudiéramos ver las estrellas, ya que Celina había mencionado que cuando era niña quería ser astrónoma por lo mucho que le encantaba ver las estrellas. El 17 de noviembre de 2023, hicimos una caminata por la tarde a Enchanted Rock. Estaba tan nervioso que recuerdo que sentía ganas de vomitar. Celina me dijo: “Podemos regresar al Airbnb si no te sientes bien”, pero no había forma de que no subiera hasta la cima de la roca para pedirle que se casara conmigo. Llegamos a la cima y pudimos relajarnos unos 20 minutos antes de que comenzara a ponerse el sol. En el momento más intenso del atardecer, le susurré al oído: “Hay algo que necesito preguntarte, pero necesito que te pongas de pie.” Ella se levantó tan rápido y empezó a decir: “Nooooo puede ser.” Después de que dijo que sí, saqué un telescopio y preparé un picnic, y pudimos pasar el resto de la noche mirando las estrellas.
