Our Story

From Friday Night Lights, to the rest of our lives!

We met in high school at the first football game of our senior year, August 30th, 2019. I accidentally spilled my snow cone on Conner and he told me "Since you spilled it on me, I think I deserve a bite." He says he wasn't flirting, but we all know he was;). So, I shared my snow cone with him. After the game, I asked our mutual friend what Conner's snapchat was. The friend gave it to me and then Conner asked for my number. We snap chatted and texted back and forth that night and the next day. The next evening, we FaceTimed until 4am and talked about literally everything. We FaceTimed every night after that, had bonfires at his house every weekend, went to the beach at least twice a week, and spent our free period together eating lunch and doing homework. We were two people becoming best friends. I knew I would be moving after high school and did not have any plans to date anyone new. Little did we know, God had very different plans for the both of us. Not too long after becoming best friends, we started catching feelings for each other. We both talked to our parents about it and prayed about it. He asked me to homecoming on September 25th and our homecoming was October 4th, where we shared the feelings we were developing. Conner made it official on October 9th, 2019 at his house, while we were watching the Disney movie Bolt and doing homework. We experienced the beginning of senior year together and had the end of it taken by covid. This was a difficult experience we dealt with together. It was an emotional rollercoaster that we went through, dealing with my last musical and Conner's last season of baseball being cancelled, all while being quarantined and not seeing each other for almost a month. What we did not realize then, was that God was preparing us for the long time we would soon be spending apart. On May 2nd, 2020, Conner and I said our first ever goodbye, while my family and I moved 1,200 miles to Texas. We then spent over five years navigating long distance. Although we went months without seeing each other, we took turns flying back and forth to visit one another. 5 long years later, on May 7th, 2025 Conner and I were officially no longer long distance. On June 2nd, he officially joined me in Texas. Flash forward 5 months, after asking/guessing when he was going to propose, Conner asked me to marry him and spend the rest of our lives together on November 15th. Now, we're finally about to say yes to forever, and we couldn't be more excited!
