November 2017: Max was hired by Jackie's best friend, Kayte, to paint her kitchen cabinets. Kayte's husband, David, had been friends with Max since high school. One day when Max was working in their kitchen, Kayte said she had to go meet Jackie. Max asked if Jackie had gone to Benicia High School with us. Spoiler: She did! Max couldn't recall her by name, so Kayte showed him a picture of Jackie. "Wow, she is beautiful." December 2017: Max and Jackie started talking and getting to know each other. January 2018: Their first date: Jackie invited Max to her 30th birthday party! A group went out to dinner and attempted an escape room. (Keyword here: Attempted.) After the escape room, Max and Jackie went to the movies.....where Jackie proceeded to fall asleep 5 minutes into the movie. That was the moment Max knew she was the one for him.
