Spring garden party attire - think florals, linens, and colorful whimsy! We'll be outside for the ceremony and cocktail hour (if it's not raining) and the weather around that time of year here is usually a high of 75 and a low of 45 degrees, so dress in layers if you think you'll be hot or cold. Please also know that we will be on grass for the ceremony - avoid wearing stilettos and other high heels if you think you'll be wobbly.
Please RSVP online by March 1, 2026 so we have an accurate headcount for our vendors.
We do not have hotel blocks as the discounts were non-existent. However, there are a few within walking distance and many that are only a few subway stops away. The Ramada by Wyndham Brooklyn in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, the Nu Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn, and the EVEN Hotel also in downtown Brooklyn are ones that other out of town guests have made reservations at. We also encourage you to look into Airbnbs near the Botanic Garden in Brooklyn! The neighborhoods closest to the Garden are Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, and Prospect Lefferts, but you can look farther away. The subway lines that will drop you closest to the Garden are the 2, 3, 4, 5, F, and Q.
We're working to figure out a spot for welcome drinks the night before for those who are around on Thursday. We'll update this when we have a better sense of where and when - please stay tuned!
For museum lovers, we recommend checking out the Brooklyn Museum (conveniently located right next to the Garden!) and the Transit Museum in Downtown Brooklyn. For history buffs, you can learn about the Battle of Brooklyn at the Old Stone House, check out an exhibition at the Center for Brooklyn History, or get a drink at the oldest bar in Brooklyn - the Brooklyn Inn. Love movies and popcorn? Check out Nitehawk by Prospect Park or BAM Rose Cinema Downtown for new releases, older classics, and foreign films. Need to touch grass and spend time outside? Brooklyn's got some awesome green spaces - Prospect Park and Fort Greene Park are both close to the Garden. If you're looking for an outdoor cityscape adventure instead, you could walk the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and then stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Want to hear live music of all sorts? Bar Bayeaux and BrownstoneJAZZ are great for jazz; Sunny's in Red Hook has lovely bluegrass and folk music; Bargemusic near the Brooklyn Bridge has free performances of classical chamber music; and Brooklyn Paramount and Brooklyn Steel are bigger performance venues for rock, pop, indie bands, etc.
