We met while we were both attending Centre College. He worked for the volleyball team that I played for and we became fast friends. For 2 years our friendship grew, long volleyball bus trips, study sessions, and even holidays with the family in Troy. His senior year, we finally took things out of the friend zone over Thanksgiving break. It was a slow burn of a beautiful friendship turning into the strongest of foundations for a few years of long distance dating, a global pandemic, and the resiliency to parent a stubborn senior basset hound. After a decade (plus a little) of loving each other, Henok popped the question while visiting friends in Charleston at sunrise on the beach. We've waited a longtime for this and we can't wait to celebrate with you.
