Once upon a time... Just kidding! We met like most couples do these days, the internet! I was casually scrolling through my Facebook feed and BAM, guess who pops up on my Suggested Friends. If you guessed Michael, you win! I had no idea who he was, but I later found out he graduated with my brother. All I knew back then was that he is a cutie. I decided to send him a quick little message on Valentine's Day night of 2018. Didn't think anything of it, figured he probably wouldn't answer. He actually responded the next day, woot woot! We talked everyday, morning until night for the next three weeks before actually meeting. It's been full of up's and down's since. I always feel welcomed and loved by Michael's family, since day one. And Michael has meshed into my world like he was always meant to be there.
We usually go to my parents house for Christmas. This year we also had Michael's mom Judith and his brother Joseph's family join us! After dinner and swapping gifts, Michael said he had another gift for me and went to the garage. At this point everyone was staring at me! If you know me, you know I hate being the center of attention. Michael came back and proposed in front of the Christmas tree, the same tree I've been decorating since I was a kid. Of course I said yes! He was really sweet and made it memorable with our families together. The center stone of my ring is from a different ring that my grandfather got for my gradmother before she passed 12 years ago, so that made it even more special.
